We wanted to announce that support for Internet Explorer (IE) 9 and 10 will be retired on April 5, 2019, as you are an admin of a Salesforce org currently using these browsers. At Salesforce, customer success is our #1 priority and as such, we recommend you move to a supported browser like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Internet Explorer version 11. After April 5, 2018, you can continue to access Salesforce Classic using IE9 and IE10. However, Salesforce will not provide support for any issues you may encounter using these browsers.

Why is Salesforce retiring IE9 and IE10?

We’re retiring support for these browser versions as they are outdated and no longer receiving critical security updates from Microsoft. With this change, we want to ensure you and your users can access your data through supported, updated, and more secure browsers.

What action do I need to take? What is the replacement for this feature?

To avoid functionality issues, we encourage you and your users move to a supported browser like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and IE11.
